Cookie policy

loadcove.comPolicy documentUpdated August 17, 2026

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It lets a site remember something between page loads, and it lets analytics tools tell a returning visitor from a new one. This page lists what loadcove.com uses and how to switch any of it off.

01 · Categories we use

Strictly necessarySet by platform and by our host so the site loads correctly and stays secure. These handle basic session function and spam protection. The site cannot operate properly without them and they store no marketing information.
PreferenceRemember small choices between visits, such as whether you have dismissed a notice. Blocking these only means you may see the same prompt again.
AnalyticsSet by Google Analytics 4. They tell us how many people visited, which guides were read, roughly how long people stayed and which sites referred them. We use this to decide what to write next and which pages to correct first. Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Comment cookiesIf commenting is enabled and you leave a comment, platform may store your name, email address and site address in your browser so you do not have to type them again. These are set only if you comment.

We do not run advertising networks on this site, so there are no ad-serving or retargeting cookies. We do not operate a newsletter, so there is no email capture tracking.

02 · Affiliate tracking

This part is often described inaccurately elsewhere, so here is how it actually works. When you follow an affiliate link from one of our pages, our identifier travels in the link itself. The tracking cookie is then set by the retailer, on the retailer’s own domain, after you arrive. Amazon, for example, sets its own cookie on amazon.com and applies its own tracking window.

We do not set affiliate tracking cookies on loadcove.com, and we receive no personal information about your purchase. Once you have clicked through, the destination retailer’s cookie policy and privacy policy govern what happens. Our affiliate disclosure explains the commercial side of that arrangement in full.

03 · Managing cookies

You are in control of this. Every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, block them from specific sites, or block them all. The setting is usually found under privacy or site settings.

ChromeSettings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and Site settings.
SafariSettings or Preferences, then Privacy, where you can block cookies and manage stored website data.
FirefoxSettings, then Privacy & Security, where Enhanced Tracking Protection and cookie handling are configured.
EdgeSettings, then Cookies and site permissions.
Mobile browsersThe same options appear under privacy settings in the browser app, or under the browser’s entry in your device settings.

What happens if you block them

Load Cove works fine with cookies blocked. Every guide, table and comparison remains readable. You may lose small conveniences, such as saved comment details, and our analytics will not count your visit. Blocking cookies here does not stop a retailer setting one after you click through to their site.

04 · Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Browsers can send a Do Not Track header, though no common standard was ever agreed for how sites should respond to it, and most do not. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is no sale to opt out of. Where an applicable law requires us to honour a Global Privacy Control signal, we will.

Changes and contact

We update this page when the services we use change. The revision date below reflects the current version. This policy should be read alongside our privacy policy, which covers everything else we collect.
